Centregreat Ltd undertook a critical urban regeneration project in Pill, a town known for its high crime rates and deteriorating conditions. The project aimed to revitalise the area by creating new pathways and kerbs. However, the challenging environment demanded robust security measures due to the presence of double-stacked offices, plant machinery, fuel, and materials within a compound surrounded by a 3-meter heavy wire fence structure.
High Crime Rates: Pill was recognised as one of the most dangerous small towns in Gwent, with alarming crime statistics. In 2022, it had a crime rate of 184 crimes per 1,000 people, significantly higher than any other town in the region.
Crime Variety: Pill faced various criminal activities, including bicycle theft (0.5 per 1,000 inhabitants), drug-related crimes (1.1 per 1000 residents), and a high incidence of violence and sexual offenses (over 650 reported in 2022).
Threatening Gangs: During site survey meetings, Centregreat Ltd encountered hostile gangs who threatened to harm the project and burn down the site. This raised serious security concerns, leading to the involvement of local authorities and the police.

Continuous Vigilance: Our dedicated team provides round-the-clock monitoring and surveillance, ensuring your site’s security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Following the implementation of Blue Light Services’ security measures:
