Blue Light Service Group proudly announces its partnership with Ray of Light Cancer Support, extending a lifeline to those affected by cancer in their most vulnerable moments.
Ray of Light Cancer Support, founded in 2009, is a beacon of hope for individuals and families grappling with the profound impact of a cancer diagnosis. With over 19,000 people diagnosed with cancer each year in Wales, the ripple effect touches countless lives.
The charity provides vital services, including peer support group meetings, social prescribing groups, one-on-one support, social horticultural therapy, telephone befriending, confidential online advice and support, signposting, online support groups, and even a choir known as the “Ray of Light Warblers.” Their commitment to offering a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental space for those affected by cancer is nothing short of a lifeline for many.
Richard Reynolds-Lewis, Director of Blue Light Service Group, shared his thoughts on this meaningful collaboration, stating, “We believe in the power of community and giving back. When we heard about the challenges Ray of Light Cancer Support was facing due to thefts and vandalism, we knew we had to do something to help.”
Ray of Light Cancer Support, led by Sue Norris, Operational Director, plays a pivotal role in the lives of cancer patients, caregivers, friends, and families. Sue emphasises the impact of security challenges on their mission: “Sadly, vandalism and theft have a devastating impact on our ability to help those who need it the most.”
In response to these challenges, Blue Light Service Group has stepped in with a security solution that can make all the difference. Adam Jenkins, Director at Blue Light CCTV, introduced the innovative i-detect camera with wireless detectors, a compact and comprehensive security system. This solution offers 24/7 surveillance with remote monitoring, live audible alerts, blue strobe lights, an arm and disarm badge reader, all fully wireless and monitored.
Even more heartwarming, Blue Light’s partners at Fenix Monitoring have generously offered to monitor this system free of charge.
This partnership embodies the essence of community and giving back, ensuring that Ray of Light Cancer Support can continue its mission of hope, healing, and support. Blue Light Service Group stands firmly by their side, saying, “We’re here for you.”
